Dheeraj Gupta to join Competition Commission of India (CCI)

Dheeraj Gupta is set to join the Competition Commission of India (CCI) as Advisor (Law) on a deputation basis for a period of three years. He is presently posted as the Regional Commissioner Finance Division of EPFO Headquarters. He is a 2003 batch EPFO officer. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) was constituted under the Competition Act, 2002. CCI serves both investigative and quasi-judicial roles in regulating anti-competitive behavior. Its mandate includes not only enforcement but also competition advocacy and training. The commission comprises a Chairperson and up to six other government-appointed members.
