DST to Hire Executive Director at ₹1.50 Crore Annual Package

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), functioning under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has initiated the process of recruiting senior leadership professionals to implement the Research Development and Innovation Fund (RDIF) scheme. The department is seeking to appoint an Executive Director, along with Directors for Investment, Partnerships and Market-Making, and Finance. These positions will carry a consolidated fixed annual compensation ranging from ₹1.20 crore to ₹1.50 crore. In addition to the fixed pay, the Executive Director will be eligible for a long-term incentive payable after completing five years of continuous service in the role. This recruitment exercise follows the Government of India’s approval of a ₹1 trillion Research, Development and Innovation scheme aimed at building a robust, private sector-driven research and innovation ecosystem across strategic sectors.
