87 ITS Officers Granted NFU; 2025 Batch Joins DGFT

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has granted Non-Functional Upgradation (NFU) to 87 Indian Telecom Service (ITS) officers who are currently in the Senior Administrative Grade (SAG). As a result of the NFU, these officers have been upgraded to the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) with effect from January 1, 2026. NFU is granted to officers when their batchmates in other services receive functional promotions, ensuring parity in pay scales and career progression. In a separate development, three officers from the 2025 batch of the Indian Trade Service—Andra Lakshmi Venkat Sai Krishna, Harsh Jain, and Sakshi Mishra—have joined the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) as Assistant DGFTs on probation. Their induction strengthens the administrative capacity of the trade policy implementation machinery.
