What happens if the Government denies extension to Jharkhand’s new DGP?

Although there are high odds that the Jharkhand acting DGP Tadasha Mishra will get an extension, in case the Jharkhand government prefers otherwise, then 1992-batch IPS officer Prashant Singh and 1993-batch IPS officer MS Bhatia have chances. Currently posted in Jharkhand, both IPS officers hold higher service seniority than Mishra. The sources claimed that the state government is likely to name a full-time DGP in the coming days. Until then, Tadasha Mishra's leadership is being closely observed for her ability to maintain law and order and inspire a more inclusive Police culture.
