Three IAS officers in Bihar promoted as ACS

The state government of Bihar has promoted three 1996-batch IAS officers, Anand Kishore, K Senthil Kumar, and H R Srinivasa, to the Apex Pay Scale and designated them as Additional Chief Secretaries (ACS), effective from January 1, 2026. The official notification states that Anand Kishore will oversee the Finance Department, Senthil Kumar will head Planning & Development, and H.R. Srinivasa will take charge of BC/EBC Welfare. This promotion places them at the top tier of the state’s civil administration hierarchy. It gives them greater authority over policy formulation and implementation in their respective domains.
