TEC and IIIT-Delhi team up for next-gen telecom

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), the DoT’s technical arm, has signed an MoU with IIIT-Delhi to collaborate on advanced telecom research and global standardization. This partnership will focus on developing India-specific standards, testing frameworks, and research into 6G, optical communication, and non-terrestrial networks. It also aims to strengthen India’s voice in international forums like the ITU through better technical contributions.
