Sumathi Ravichandran promoted to HAG+ post-retirement

Ms Sumathi Ravichandran has been granted promotion to the Higher Administrative Grade-Plus (HAG+) of the Indian Postal Service with effect from May 3, 2021. Notably, the officer, from the 1987 batch, has received this upgrade after her retirement.

Such post-retirement promotions generally align cadre structures and pay scales with recommendations or approvals that materialize after an officer’s superannuation. The move formally recognizes her seniority and career contributions.
