Neeraj Gupta gets extension as CGM (Mech.), IRCON

The Ministry of Railways sanctioned a six-month extension in the deputation tenure of Shri Neeraj Gupta, an IRSME officer, with IRCON International Limited as Chief General Manager (Mechanical). The extension, approved by the Railway Board on November 27, 2025, is valid up to March 2, 2026, notably extending his service beyond the sixth year of his deputation tenure, which is typically the limit. A key financial condition of this extension is that the officer will not be eligible for deputation (duty) allowance for the period beyond the completion of his fifth year. IRCON, a Miniratna Category-I PSU and a key government construction company, utilizes the mechanical engineering expertise of officers like Gupta for its vast domestic and international railway infrastructure projects.
