Abhishek Singh qualified as Permanent Representative to ECOWAS

India’s IFS officer Abhishek Singh, currently High Commissioner to Nigeria, has been simultaneously accredited as its new Permanent Representative to ECOWAS. On November 14, he presented his letter of credence to ECOWAS Commission President Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, reaffirming India’s commitment to West African development cooperation and capacity building. This move strengthens India's diplomatic footprint in ECOWAS, marking a strategic deepening of its engagement in regional integration, trade, and infrastructure.
