Abhishek Singh appointed as India’s Permanent Representative to ECOWAS
Abhishek Singh, presently High Commissioner of India to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has been concurrently accredited as the next Permanent Representative of India to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), with residence in Abuja. He is a 2003 batch IFS officer. On November 14, Singh presented his Letter of Credence to ECOWAS Commission President, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to ECOWAS cooperation, especially in capacity building and development. His appointment reflects India’s broader push to deepen economic and diplomatic links with West Africa.
