Three ITS Officers Decline Promotion to SAG, Remain in JAG

Three ITS officers — Taklikar Prashant Vaksiddha, Ram Chandra, and Navendra Singh — who were recently promoted to the Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) have chosen to decline the promotion. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has accepted their request, and the officers will continue in the Junior Administrative Grade (JAG).

Refusal of promotions, though rare, is permitted under service rules. Officers may decline promotions due to personal, professional, or location-related reasons. Such decisions can affect cadre management and vacancy planning. The DoT processes these cases on an individual basis.
