PESB Head Expected To Continue For Another Year

Mallika Srinivasan, the Chairperson of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), is likely to receive an additional one-year extension beyond November 18, 2025.  This is to recollect that the regulations were slightly changed to grant her the last extension.  Interestingly, the government is reportedly intent on extending her tenure, even though she operates remotely (from Chennai) via online and rarely visits the Board headquarters in Delhi.  She succeeded Rajeev Kumar (Retd IAS: 1984: JH) as PESB Chairperson in April 2021. Her tenure will extend for three years until she reaches the age of 65. 

She was originally scheduled to conclude her employment at PESB on November 18, 2024; however, the government administration extended her contract until November 18, 2025.
