Justice Arvind Kumar Verma recommended as Permanent Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended Justice Arvind Kumar Verma, currently an Additional Judge at Chhattisgarh High Court, for appointment as a Permanent Judge. Justice Verma, earlier a Registrar General of the High Court and a seasoned District- and Sessions-Court judge, was initially appointed as Additional Judge in January 2024. The recommendation is based on a thorough evaluation of his judgments and conduct; the High Court’s Judgment Evaluation Committee rated his authored judgments as “Very Good.” His elevation will add to the permanent bench strength of the Chhattisgarh High Court, strengthening judicial capacity and expediting case disposal in the state.
