IIM Mumbai launches Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy Management

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai, ranked 6th in the NIRF, has announced the launch of its Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy Management (PGDPPM). The programme is being offered in collaboration with TalentSprint, an Accenture-backed global edtech company known for its AI-driven learning capabilities. Designed as a one-year, 45-credit diploma, it brings together IIM Mumbai’s academic strength, experienced faculty, and advanced digital learning tools to create a future-ready programme for mid-career professionals.

The curriculum integrates academic depth with practical exposure and global policy frameworks, preparing participants to become leaders in governance and public policy. As rapid digital transformation, environmental concerns, and regulatory changes reshape the world, the demand for policy professionals with strong analytical and leadership skills continues to grow. Addressing this gap, the PGDPPM focuses on policy design, implementation, sustainability, and responsible management, equipping learners to create impactful and inclusive public policies.

Speaking about the launch, an IIM Mumbai spokesperson said, “The PG Diploma in Public Policy Management empowers professionals to handle contemporary policy challenges with clarity and confidence. Through simulations, hands-on projects, and peer learning, participants develop leadership abilities, crisis-management skills, and innovative thinking, preparing them for senior roles across government, corporate, and social sectors.”

The programme follows a blended model featuring live online classes led by IIM Mumbai faculty, case-based learning, policy simulations, and a capstone project. Expert sessions by former IAS officers and policy practitioners offer grounded insights into issues such as sustainability, public health, digital governance, and regulatory transformation. Participants will also attend 20 days of on-campus immersion to strengthen theoretical understanding through interactive, face-to-face sessions.

On completion, learners will earn academic credits, an industry-recognized Post Graduate Diploma, and IIM Mumbai alumni status. Admissions are open for the February 2026 batch. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) and possess a minimum of five years’ work experience. Selection will be based on IMAT scores or a valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE score obtained within the last five years, followed by a personal interview.
