DPC stalled for a ‘shaky’ reason?

A Departmental Promotion Committee meeting intended to clear promotions for Chief Commissioners in the IRS could not be held this week due to what many are calling a rather flimsy reason. It turns out the Revenue Secretary was held up at the UPSC gate because the security staff took extra time verifying his official car’s number. By the time the issue was resolved, the secretary had reportedly returned to his office. A new date for the meeting hasn’t been set yet.
