Centre shifts Chief Secretary mid-tenure for the second time

Rajasthan’s outgoing Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant is the second Chief Secretary in the state to have been transferred to the centre in between, before finishing the tenure. Rajiv Mehrishi was the first one. He too left in between to join as Finance Secretary in 2014. Though two former Chief Secretaries, CK Mathew and DB Gupta, too, had to leave their posts midway, they remained in the Rajasthan cadre only.
