Naya Raipur Gears Up for High-Stakes Security Summit as PM Modi Arrives

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Chhattisgarh on Friday evening to attend the 60th All-India DGP/IGP Conference on 29-30 November. This is the first time the state is hosting the prestigious security summit.

For three days, Naya Raipur will effectively function as a mini-PMO. The Speaker’s House (M-1) has been converted into a temporary PMO and Modi’s residence, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will stay at Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary’s bungalow.

Over 300 VVIPs are expected, including NSA Ajit Doval, DGPs from all states, 20 central paramilitary chiefs, and home secretaries. The IB-hosted meet at IIM Raipur will house all participants in government bungalows, with no hotel accommodations.

Security measures are unprecedented. Around 2,000 personnel are deployed along the Speaker House–IIM corridor alone, with additional teams securing key residences. An ADG-rank officer is overseeing the entire ground operation.

The summit agenda focuses on critical issues: tackling Naxalism (with Shah’s “zero LWE” goal by March 2026), countering white-collar terror funding via cryptocurrencies, integrating AI in policing, preventing cyber frauds, addressing Northeast insurgency, and curbing narcotics.

For the next 72 hours, Naya Raipur will transform into one of India’s most fortified zones as the nation’s top security officials converge to plan strategies for national safety.
