“World Blood donor day observed at RINL”

World Blood Donor Day was observed at Visakha Steel General Hospital (VSGH) of RINL. As part of the world blood donor day celebrations, an Exhibition of educative material on blood donation through various stalls highlighting various aspects pertaining to the blood donation, blood group testing, display of educative materials on awareness of blood donation were displayed. Registration of new BLOOD donors was also done for employees and public. Nearly 500 people visited the stalls and appreciated all the exhibits. At a formal function organized at the conference hall of VSGH, RINL, Mr Attar Mohammad Haneef, Commandant, CISF, RINL graced the program as the Chief guest. Dr K. H. Prakash, CGM (M&HS), Dr A.P. Naveen Kumar, GM (Med - GM), Dr J.N. Sarangi GM (Med), Dr A. Santhi Priya DGM (Med-Path) were the guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Attar Mohammad Haneef, Commandant, CISF, RINL said that such programs are very essential and suggested to mobilise more and more employees and public towards becoming blood donors and also inspire others to come forward for this noble cause. He congratulated VSGH doctors and all the concerned for organising such an important national program in VSGH. VSGH Chief general manager Dr KH Prakash, HOD, Medical , RINL said that VSGH is in the forefront for extending quality medical services to the employees and their dependents. He said that the Blood centre of RINL is doing excellent service to the needy. Dr AP Naveen Kumar, in-charge Medical Laboratory in his speech emphasised the need of academic activities in VSGH. Dr JN Sarangi, in-charge Medical Administration, in his message, stressed the commitment of administration in improving the performance of VSGH in extending its services. Further, he congratulated the organizers for conducting this important event on blood donation.
