Five IAS officers in Assam get new portfolios

Five IAS officers in Assam have been assigned new portfolios. Accordingly, Maninder Singh was appointed as ACS, Cooperation Department and handed over additional charge of ACS, Sports &Youth Welfare, Cultural Affairs and Tourism Departments, where Avinash
Purushottam Das Joshi has been posted as PS, Revenue & DM Department with additional charge of Additional Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi and Niraj Verma, PS, Home, Political, Power (E), Parliamentary Affairs and Personnel Departments and Additional Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi is also posted as PS, Information & Public Relation as additional charge. Similarly, Rajesh Prasad, PS, Excise, Irrigation and Soil Conservation Departments and Chairman, SLNA, WDC-PMKSY is also posted as PS, Housing & Urban Affairs as additional charge. Besides, Paban Kumar Borthakur, ACS, Transformation & Development, Cultural Affairs, Tourism and Sports & Youth Welfare Departments is relieved from the additional charge of ACS, Cultural Affairs, Tourism and Sports & Youth Welfare and given additional charge of ACS, Personnel Department.
