Indian Civil Aviation Sector deliberates on long-term sustainable growth among environment challenges

In order to foster a coherent path towards enshrined goals on long-term sustainable growth of the Indian Aviation Industry, a workshop on “Sutras of Sustainability - Aviation Perspective” was conducted at Indian Aviation Academy (IAA) on initiative and guidance of
Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Airports Authority of India (AAI). The workshop encompassed presentations and meaningful deliberations on Climate Change, Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Green Airport Concept. The workshop had speakers and participation from MoCA, DGCA, AAI, DIAL, Noida International Airport, TERI, India-US Aviation Cooperation Program, FAA India Office and other aviation stakeholders. Shri Ajay Yadav, Director, MoCA in august presence of Shri R R Rashmi, Distinguished Fellow and Programme Director, Earth Science and Climate Change from TERI; Shri E P Hareendranathan, Executive Director, IAA and Shri Manoj Chansoria, GM (Training), IAA inaugurated the workshop.
