“Week long safety celebrations at Central Maintenance Mechanical (CMM) department at RINL propagate safety awareness”

The valedictory of the Safety awareness week which was conducted during 20/02/2023 to 25/02/2023 by the Central Maintenance Mechanical (CMM) department of Visakhapatnam steel plant was organized at the ED(Works)’s conference hall at Visakhapatnam steel plant. Sri B.K Mohanty CGM (works)I/c has graced the occasion as the Chief guest and presided by sri P.K Sarangi CGM (Mechanical), Sri Uttam Brahma GM(Mechanical), Sri N.K Rout HOD ,Safety engineering department and Sri Ganesh kumar HOD CMM . Addressing the RINL employees, Sri B.K Mohanty CGM (works)I/c appreciated the efforts taken by the CMM department in organizing various safety related programs with wider participation during the weeklong safety week celebrations and emphasized the role of safety in the growth of organization. He called upon everyone to strictly follow the safety norms. A Safety Skit was played by CMM employees highlighting the importance of safety which was well appreciated by the Chief Guest and all the members present in the function. A video showcasing the gist of various program conducted during the safety awareness week was also exhibited. Later, prizes were distributed by the Chief guest and other dignitaries to the prize winners of various competitions like safety debate, essay writing, safety slogans, Quiz, safety & housekeeping etc. which were conducted during the week-long program. The function was attended by representatives of various unions & associations. They lauded the initiative taken up by the CMM department collective in promoting safety awareness amongst the RINL collective.
