Two Kerala cadre senior IPS officers elevated to DG rank

The Kerala Government has elevated two IPS officers to the Director General of Police rank. Two ex-cadre posts have also been created. Accordingly, K Padmakumar, 1989 batch, who was Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Police Headquarters and Shaik Darvesh Saheb, IPS, 1990 batch, who was working as Additional Director General of Police, Crimes have been promoted. The Government has created two ex-cadre posts of Director Generals of Police in Prisons and Correctional Services and Fire and Rescue Services wing. Accordingly, K Padmakumar is posted as DG, Prisons and Correctional Services and Shaik Darvesh Saheb as DG, Fire and Rescue Services.
