Tenure of ad-hoc appointment of 10 Under Secretaries serving in various ministries/departments is prolonged for 6 months beyond June 30, 2022 i.e. up to December 31, 2022 or till their regular appointment as Under Secretary (US). The US whose tenure is extended are: Sudershan Kumar (Defence), Pradeep Kumar Singh (MSME), Prodip Kumar Mondal (Food Processing industries), Goutam Palit (MHA), Vishal Kumar Gupta (Health & Family Welfare), Rakesh Kumar Sinha (DoPT), Upendra Nath Pandey (Housing & Urban Affairs), Mrs S M Xalxo (MHA), Subhash Chand (NDMA) and Jitendra Kumar (Water Resources).
