Seven IAS officers get new responsibilities in Assam

Seven IAS officers have been given new assignments in Assam. Paban Kumar Borthakur, ACS, Transformation & Development, Cultural Affairs and Tourism Departments and Chairman, Assam Administrative Tribunal is also posted as ACS, Sports & Youth Welfare Department as additional charge, while Siddharth Singh, Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, gets additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary, Sports & Youth Welfare and Rakesh Agarwal, Commissioner of Taxes and Commissioner of Excise, was given additional charge of MD, Assam Tea Corporation. Similarly, Pabitra Ram Khaund is posted as Secretary, Irrigation Department; Umananda Doley, as Secretary, Welfare of Bodoland Department; Adil Khan, Commissioner of Transport and State Project Director, Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society & MD, AIDC is also posted as MD, Assam skill
Development Mission as additional charge and Dr Sadnek Singh will take charge as Joint Secretary, Transport Department.
