R K Singh designated as Secretary, Defence

Rajesh Kumar Singh has been designated as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence in the rank and pay of Secretary to the GoI. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence vice Aramane Giridhar, upon completion of his tenure on October 31, 2024. The ACC has also approved extension in service of Rajesh Kumar Singh, as Secretary, Department of Defence beyond the age of superannuation, for a period up to October 31, 2026. Singh is a 1989 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre.
