Operation of ships from Barwani to Statue of Unity

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB), Government of Madhya Pradesh has sought technical help of Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for starting cruise operation from Barwani to Statue of Unity, Gujarat. IWAI is rendering technical help to set up jetties at Kukshi and Sakarja in Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh. Further, IWAI has agreed for setting up floating jetties at Hanfeswar and Sardar Sarovar Dam in Narmada River in Gujarat. This information was given by the Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha today.
