Nine senior IPS officers have been assigned new portfolios in Punjab. B K Uppal has been appointed as Special DGP Investigation Lokpal, Punjab, Chandigarh, while Gaurav Yadav was made ADGP Administration, with additional charge of Special Principal Secretary to CM and Gurpreet Kaur Deo will take charge as ADGP Community Affairs Division (CAD) and Women Affairs. Similarly, Jitendra Kumar Jain was appointed as ADGP, PSPCL; S K Asthana as ADGP, Policy & Rules; Praveen Kumar Sinha as ADGP, Punjab State Human Rights Commission; G Nageswara Rao as ADGP Human Rights, Punjab, Chandigarh; R K Jaiswal as IGP, Cyber Crime and Gurinder Singh Dhillon will take over as IGP, STF.
