Five officers of 2000 batch belonging to Indian Police Service (IPS) have been empanelled for holding Joint Secretary level posts in the Government of India. They are: Swayam Prakash Pani of J&K; Aswati G of Maharashtra; Dinesh Pratap Singh of Punjab; K V Sreejesh of
Tripura and K Venkata Ramana of Haryana.
