AAI signs MoU with Government of Rajasthan for development of a greenfield airport at Kota in Rajasthan

A tripartite MoU was signed today between Airports Authority of India, Urban Development Department, Government of Rajasthan and Civil Aviation Department, Government of Rajasthan for the development of Kota Greenfield Airport in Rajasthan in the presence of Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Rajasthan. The MoU was signed by Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman, AAI, Shri Shikhar Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and Civil Aviation, Government of Rajasthan and Shri T. Ravikant, Principal Secretary to the Urban Development and Housing Department, Government of Rajasthan. The Greenfield airport at Kota will be constructed on 440.086 hectares of land for which Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being prepared by Airports Authority of India. As per the MoU, Government of Rajasthan will provide land for the development of the greenfield Airport and AAI will be responsible for the construction, development and operation of the airport. Construction of a greenfield airport in Kota will put the city on the Indian Aviation Map, enhancing connectivity and regional growth.
