AAI is committed to encourage the induction of electric vehicles and development of charging infrastructure at airports

In line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of transitioning towards e-Mobility, Airports Authority of India (AAI) is consistently endeavoring towards switching over to Electric Vehicles, encouraging airport service providers for inducting electric vehicles and developing charging infrastructure at airports. India is among a handful of countries that support the global EV30@30 campaign, which targets to have at least 30% new vehicle sales be electric by 2030. The Government of India has desired Electric Vehicle (EV) penetration of 30% for private cars, 70% for commercial vehicles and 80% for two and three-wheelers by 2030. The EV30@30 campaign redefines the ambition of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) ’s Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI), setting the objective to reach a 30% sales share for EVs by 2030. The CEM brings together the world’s largest and leading countries, international organizations and companies to achieve a single mission: accelerate clean energy transitions.
